Available parking spot detection in a parking lot

In recent years, parking has become a serious problem due to the increasing number of vehicels. Searching for available parking can be a frustrating trask, leading to waste of time and fuel.

Our aim in this project is to employ computer vision tools for the detection of available parking spots. Standard cameras will be used for data acquisition, where we will focus on low-complexity detection/tracking algorithms.

Project description:

Data for the project will be acquired using cameras stationed in the Technion EE department parking lot.

Students are expected to be involved in the process of finding optimal locations for the cameras within the parking lot.
