Overcoming Color Vision Deficiency

Color vision deficiency impacts the lives of millions of people around the world. It is essential to understand their condition and provide solutions to improve their quality of life and accessibility to different forms of technology. We present a model of human color vision that allows to digitally simulate the perception of individuals with color vision deficiency (CVD).  Using this simulation we present a technique for finding problematic areas of confusion in images.

Main Goals:

– Understand confusion line model for CVD perception.

– Improve method of finding areas of confusion in images.

– Develop algorithm for enhancing images for the color-blind using confusion map.

Secondary Goals:

– Create android application.
