Teaching activity in the lab includes undergraduate lab experiments and projects. About 200 students are performing these experiments each year and about 40 undergraduate student projects are performed each year, many of them in collaboration with industry. Projects are usually carried out by student pairs and are supervised by the lab staff, graduate students in the department and in a few cases by adjuncts from industry (usually our former graduates).
Areas of activity include:
- Computer vision
- Image and video processing
- Medical imaging
- Intelligent transportation systems
- 3D data processing
- Machine learning and pattern recognition
- Real-time applications
- Autonomous systems
